Keynote Speaker 1

Professor Dr. Hem Raj Pant

Tribhuvan University, Kathmandu, Nepal

Prof. Pant received his B.Sc in Natural Science in 1993 and M.Sc in Physical Chemistry 1995. In 2001, he started lecturing in Tribhuban University as Associate Professor. He obtained his Ph.D. from Chonbuk National University, South Korea in 2011 and specializing in Bio-nano System Engineering. His research interest include nanotechnology, biomaterials, water treatment, chemistry and electrospinning. To this day he has been successfully received and award Nepal Bidhya Bhusan from Honorable President of Nepal (Government of Nepal in 2015), Nepal Technology Award from Honorable Prime minister of Nepal (Nepal Academy of Science and Technology, Government of Nepal in 2018), Listed in Marquis Who’s Who in the World 31st Edition, 2014, Ph.D. Research Fellowship from Healthcare Development Project, Ministry of Education, South Korea (September 2009 - 2011) and Foreign professor scholarship from Chonbuk National University Korea (March 2010- December 2010). In publication, Prof. Pant has higher h-index with 37 and 172 research items. He also has membership in scientific and professional of Life  Member of Nepal Chemical Society, Member, American Chemistry Society (ACS), Member, Korean Polymer Society, Member, Korean Fiber Society, Member, IEEE, Founder President of Research Institute of Next Generation (RING) Nepal, Founder General Secretary, Prasansa Sanrachen Samuha (NCSC group), Nepal, Chairman, Korean University Alumina Association Nepal (KUAAN) and Vice-chairman, Bagmati Community Campus, Tribhuvan University, Nepal

Keynote Speaker 2

Professor Dr. Azlan Mohd Ishak

Faculty of Applied Sciences at Universiti Teknologi Mara Perlis Branch, Malaysia.

Professor Dr. Mohd Azlan Mohd Ishak received his BSc in Chemistry in 1993 and MSc in Analytical Chemistry in 2001. In July 1995, he started lecturing in Institut Teknologi Mara, Perlis Branch before completing his PhD in 2007 specializing in supercritical fluid extraction methods. His research interest includes energy and green technology, liquefaction and extraction technology, coal and biomass gasification technology, pyrolysis, and catalysis.To this day, he has successfully received 39 research grants, totaling over RM3.3 million, from the government and private agencies.  An avid writer, Prof. Dr. Mohd Azlan has also published more than 80 articles in peer-reviewed journals, more than 100 conference proceedings, 10 books, and 3 chapter-in-books. He has received 60 local and international research innovation awards for his contribution in the field. In 2015 and 2017, he was awarded the Outstanding Reviewer by Elsevier for reviewing the Q1 journals and also the Top Reviewer award in 2015 and 2016. In 2015, he received the Darjah Seri Sirajuddin Perlis Medal bestowed by the Royal Highness King of Perlis, Malaysia. In 2017, Dr. Azlan received the Vice Chancellor Quality Award and Academic Leadership Award from UiTM Perlis Branch. At present, he is a professor for the Faculty of Applied Sciences at Universiti Teknologi Mara Perlis Branch, Malaysia.

Dr. Chanchana Thanachayanont

National Metal and Materials Technology Center, Bangkok

Dr Chanchana Thanachayanont  is a principal researcher at the National Metal and Materials Technology Center (MTEC), Thailand. She received her PhD in Electronic Materials, Imperial College of Science and Technology, United Kingdom 1999. Her research interest was in Microelectrodes with nanoparticle sensors, Semiconductor physics, Materials characterization, Quantum physics and Solar cells. In 2018 she has an experienced teaching in Characterization Tools in Nanotechnology and  Microfabrication Technology at School of Engineering and Technology Pathum Thani , Thailand. Her current research interest is in applying her reserach to enviromental application such as energy efficient pollution detection and remediation. She has published more than 100 articles and has h- index was of 21.
